Its collections include objects from important ancient sites of eastern Syria, particularly <strong>Mari (Tell Hariri)<\/strong> and <strong>Dura-Europos<\/strong>, as well as material from other settlements along the Euphrates. Pottery, cuneiform tablets, sculptures, figurines, seals, jewellery, coins, inscriptions, and architectural remains illustrate thousands of years of settlement, trade, religion, and cultural exchange in the region.
