Its collections include sculptures, cuneiform tablets, inscriptions, jewellery, ceramics, mosaics, coins, manuscripts, and objects discovered at archaeological sites throughout Syria. Among its most remarkable displays are reconstructed architectural elements and wall paintings from important sites such as Dura-Europos, as well as artefacts associated with Ugarit, Mari, Palmyra, and other centres of ancient Syrian civilisation.
